How it works

Three steps. Zero inbox anxiety.

🔐
STEP 01

Connect Gmail

Sign in with Google. We request read-only access — we never send, delete, or modify anything in your inbox.

🧠
STEP 02

Claude reads your inbox

Every morning, Claude AI reads your emails for the past 24 hours, categorises them by priority, and identifies exactly what needs your attention.

☀️
STEP 03

Your brief arrives

A clean, structured summary lands in your inbox before 7am. Action items, FYI reads, and noise — all sorted. You start your day knowing exactly what matters.

Why MorningBrief

Better than what Google gives you for free.

Gmail's AI summarises individual threads. MorningBrief gives you a full daily briefing with triage, priority ranking, and specific next actions.

Priority triage

Every email is rated HIGH, MEDIUM, or LOW. You see what needs same-day attention at a glance — not buried in a list of 40 emails.

🎯

Specific next actions

Not just "this email is about X." Claude tells you exactly what to do: reply, forward, schedule, approve. Actionable, not descriptive.

🔇

Noise filtering

Newsletters, receipts, automated notifications, and marketing are silently filtered. They get a one-line count at the bottom — out of your way.

☀️

Arrives before you wake up

Delivered at 7am. You start your day already knowing what matters. No context-switching, no scrolling — just a briefing.

🔒

Read-only, always

We never send, delete, or modify anything in your Gmail. OAuth read-only scope only. Your inbox stays yours.

🧠

Claude, not ChatGPT

Claude is better at nuanced reasoning and following complex instructions — which means a cleaner, more accurate digest every time.

Privacy first

We built this for people who care about their data.

Giving an app access to your inbox is a big deal. Here is exactly what MorningBrief does — and does not — do with your emails.

🔍

Read-only access. Always.

We request the minimum possible Gmail permission — read-only. It is technically impossible for MorningBrief to send, reply, delete, label, or modify anything in your inbox. Ever.

🚫

Your emails are never stored.

Email content is fetched, sent to Claude for summarisation, and immediately discarded. We store only the generated digest — not your emails, not their contents.

🔐

OAuth tokens are encrypted.

The token that grants us Gmail access is encrypted and stored in a secure database. It is never logged, never exposed in responses, and rotates automatically.

🤝

No data sold. No third parties.

Your email data is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used to train AI models. It goes from Gmail → Claude → your digest. That's the entire chain.

🧹

Delete your account, delete your data.

Disconnect your Gmail account at any time and all your data — tokens, preferences, and saved digests — is permanently deleted within 24 hours.

🏢

Claude is run by Anthropic.

Email content is processed by Anthropic's Claude API under their enterprise privacy terms. Anthropic does not use API inputs to train their models.

Common questions

Is my Gmail data stored anywhere?

No. Email content is fetched, passed through Claude for summarisation, and immediately discarded. We store only the generated digest text — never the raw emails, never their content. You can delete your account and all data at any time.

Can MorningBrief send, delete, or read emails I haven't authorised?

No, and this is technically enforced. We request Gmail read-only OAuth scope. Google's infrastructure makes it impossible for us to send, reply, forward, delete, label, or modify any email. The permission simply does not exist in our token.

What if I have hundreds of emails a day?

The Basic plan summarises up to 50 emails per window. Pro handles unlimited. Claude is smart enough to group and cluster similar threads, so 200 emails become a 10-line digest.

How is this better than Gmail's built-in AI?

Gmail's AI summarises individual threads on request. MorningBrief gives you a proactive daily briefing with cross-inbox priority ranking, specific next actions, and automatic noise filtering — delivered before you open Gmail.

Can I change what time I receive the digest?

Currently fixed at 7am UTC on the Basic plan. Pro users can set a custom delivery time. Timezone support is on the roadmap.
